Altai is the most picturesque and largest mountain range in Mongolia. The Mongol Altai has many summits reaching 4000 meters above sea level and stretches for 900 kilometers from the north-western part of the country to the south, through the territories of Bayan-Olgii and Khovd provinces. Over 20 peaks are capped with eternal snow in the Altai Mountain Range.

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and meet our guide and driver. Transfer to hotel and check-in. In the afternoon short city tour in Ulaanbaatar city: visit Sukhbaatar Square, Chinggis Khaan monument, National Museum of Mongolian History, and visit Zaisan Memorial for Panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar. In the evening, enjoy Mongolian folklore performance. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Ulaangom
Flight to Ulaangom the central town of the Uvs province which is the located north half of Mongolia. Short sightseeing in the town visiting the local museum and the black market. Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 3. Turgen Mountains
Drive to trekking camp which is located 100 km from Ulaangom. The camp area is surrounded by snow-capped peaks of Turgen Mountains. Sunset over TsagaanShuvuut, Kharkhiraa Mountains area is amazing.
Day 4. Trekking in Turgen Mountains
Day for trekking in the Turgen Mountains, to the north from camp and visit local herder families from Khoton and Durvud ethnics. Return to the camp and relax.
Day 5. Ulgii
Drive to Ulgii town centre of Bayan-Ulgii province where a majority of Kazakh people lives. Visit Local museum and market. Overnight at a local hotel.
Day 6. Dayan Lake
Drive to the Dayan lake which is creation moraine activity fed by small rivers and snowmelt. On the way view Dayan lake deer stone monuments and some ancient burial mounds. Overnight at the tent.
Day 7. Deluun
Drive top the Deluunsoum in the Altai mountains of Bayan-Ulgii province. The most population of the area is Khazah people and some Uriankai people lives. Overnight at tented camping.
Day 8. Upper Bulgan
Drive to The area is the best summer camp for nomads from Bulgan, Altai, Uyench and Upper Bulgansoums. The natural beauty and good pasture of the area attract many different ethnic groups of herders there. Along with this area, you can visit Torguud, Zakhchin, Uriankhai and other ethnic families. Overnight at tented camping.
Day 9. Uyench Valley Canyon
Drive to Uyench valley canyon which is surrounded high mountains. On the way the Red Pass of Altai, which is famous, its challengeable height of 2700 meters above sea level. Overnight at tented camping.
Day 10. Gurvan Tsenkher Cave
Drive to Gurvan Tsenkher Cave in Mankhansoum of Khovdaimag. There are two caves both facing to the north in the slope of a small rocky mountain, which stands on the Khoid Tsentser River. The cave is 20m deep and inhabited by humans 40.000 – 12.000 years ago. The wall of the cave filled with rock paintings from the Paleolithic era. Overnight at GER camp.
Day 11. Khovd
Drive to Khovd town, built up by the Manchus, was the seat of power for western Mongolia during the reign of the Qin dynasty. Khovd province was an important frontier outpost for the Manchus. Drive to Ger camp and overnight ger camp.
Day 12. Ulaanbaatar
Take a flight to Ulaanbaatar. In the afternoon you are enjoying a more relaxing time in the city and have shopping opportunities to cashmere and souvenir shops. Overnight in the hotel. Relax at the hotel.
Day 13. Departure
Check out the hotel and transfer to airport or train station. Tour ends.
