This tour highlights the three most spectacular destinations of Mongolia, combining the sandy Gobi desert, the mountainous Western Altai region with the beautiful blue lake of the north.
Only in two weeks, you will visit the most fascinating areas of Mongolia. The National Parks of Mongolia represent the diverse natural zones of Mongolia and preserve the best natural heritage of the country. Highlights:
Gobi dunes, Yoliin am, Bayanzag flaming cliffs, Altai Mountains, Gurvan senkher cave – the longest cave in Mongolia, Kazakh eagle hunting tradition, and the Huvsgul Lake.

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. Tour the Museum of Natural History with its splendid collection of Dinosaur exhibits. Mongolian traditional folklore concert. Evening tour of Ulaanbaatar, including the War Memorial at Zaisan, if time permits. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. Fly to Gobi desert, Visit Yoliin Am Canyon

After breakfast at the hotel transfer to the airport to catch a short flight to Dalanzadgad, the central town in South Gobi province. After lunch at base camp, visit Yoliin Am (Lammergeyer) Valley, ice canyon of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park for trekking and opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape. Return to the camp. Dinner and free time in the evening. Overnight in gers.

Day 3. A day Excursion to Bayanzag and Moltsogels

Breakfast at base camp. A day trip to Bayan Zag, Flaming Cliffs* (50 miles), for exploring the Gobi Cemetery of Dinosaurs and the trail of Roy Chapman Andrews, and Moltsog Els sand dunes. Bayanzag is dubbed as a cemetery of dinosaurs and significant for both archaeologically and paleontological findings. Complete dinosaur skeletons and eggs are excavated from red cliffs, which look like fire. American explorer Roy Chapman Andrew had discovered this area in early 20 century and getting famous all over the world. If you see carefully, you could find a piece of bone or dinosaur egg. In the afternoon, short hiking Gobi tree-saxaul forest. Overnight at ger camp.
In the evening, watch a documentary about American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews, whose expedition crew discovered the first dinosaur fossils of Mongolia from Bayanzag sight in the 1920s.

Day 4. Fly Back to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast transfer to Dalanzadgad airport for late morning flight to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch, tour the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum, home of the last Mongolian Khan who ruled Mongolia till 1924. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 5. Fly to Ulgii Town, Western Mongolia

This morning fly to Ulgii town, the centre of Bayan-Ulgii province the westernmost region of the country where the eagle hunting Kazakh ethnic minorities live. Transfer to Eagle tour ger camp then visits a Kazakh eagle hunter’s family in the afternoon. Overnight in gers.

Day 6. Drive to Khovd Town via Tsambagarav

You are travelling the whole day today along magnificent mountains of Altai Mountain range to arrive in Khovd town in the evening. You will see a number of picturesque sites along the way with most notable being Tsambagarav Mountain and TolboNuur lakes. Overnight in ger camp near Khovd town.

Day 7. Tour the Khovd Town

Khovd town is an interesting place, being the centre of Khovd province with the largest variety of ethnic cultures. Manchurian governor settled in Khovd town for 200 years during the Manchurian colonization from 17th – 19th century. Visit the local museum and Yellow temple in the morning and local market in the afternoon. This evening you are also visiting a local family residing on the bank of Buyant River where you will witness their amazing traditions of music and art. Overnight in ger camp.

Day 8. Gurvan Senkher Cave

After breakfast at the camp, drive to Gurvan Senkher cave, one of the most prominent natural wonders of Mongolia. The twin chamber of the cave measuring approximately 130 meters and 90 meters respectively hold traces of residence of prehistoric people dating back to Bronze Age. On the wall of the larger chamber, there are numerous ancient rock inscriptions. We are having barbeque lunch nearby the caves. Then have an excursion to ancient rock drawings in Mankhan country. Drive back to our base camp along the western shore of Khar-Us Nuur (Blackwater) lake for dinner and overnight.

Day 9. Fly Back to Ulaanbaatar

Transfer to the local airport for flight to Ulaanbaatar. You are having a relaxing time this afternoon. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Day 10. Fly to Murun and Transfer to Huvsgul Lake

Morning transfer to airport for flight to Murun, the capital of Huvsgul province. Lake Khuvsgul, dubbed as Mongolia Switzerland and a lake surrounded with green forest mountains. Also, it is 1% of the freshwater resource of the world and the deepest one in Mongolia. en route, we will visit deer stone monument complex from the Bronze age. Overnight at ger camp Have packed lunch near the airport and transfer our camp at the Shore of Huvsgul Lake. Free hiking and relaxing in the evening. Dinner and overnight at base camp. Drive to Khuvsgul Lake. Lake Khuvsgul, like a dubbed as Mongolia Switzerland and a lake surrounded with green forest mountains. Also, it is 1% of a freshwater resource of the world and the deepest one in Mongolia. en route, we will visit deer stone monument complex from the Bronze age. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 11. Huvsgul Lake Exploration, Visit Reindeer People

Breakfast at base camp and transfer to Reindeer herder’s settlement. Arrive back to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon explore the breathtaking shores of this beautiful lake, enjoy horse riding, trekking or fishing. Dinner and overnight at base camp.

Day 12. Transfer to Murun and Fly to Ulaanbaatar

Breakfast at base camp. Drive back to Murun via Deer stones to catch an early afternoon flight to Ulaanbaatar. After lunch, visit one of Mongolia’s cashmere factory outlets. In the evening, welcome and enjoy farewell dinner with a traditional musical performance. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 13. Departure Flight

Transfer to airport for the return flight to Ulaanbaatar. transfer to hotel, tour ends.
