Gobi desert, occupying 30 percent of the country’s vast territory and stretching from the east to the west through the southern part of Mongolia, is rich in wildlife. Its numerous rare animal species include argali sheep, ibex, snow leopard, lynx, wild ass, gazelles, saiga, wild Bactrian camel, and Gobi bear, just to name a few. Its plant kingdom comprises over 400 species including many valuable medicinal, folder, and decorative plants. With the sight of an ancient sea, the region has been host to countless fossil discoveries

This tour includes major travel routes in the Southern Gobi desert include the flaming cliffs at Bayanzag site following the trails of 1920’s American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews, Khongor Els dunes – the largest dunes in Mongolia and Yoliin Am or Eagle valley famous for its stunning beauty and rich flora and fauna and stunning beauty of Terelj National Park and cultural experiences.

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar

Arrival to Ulaanbaatar city of boulevards, blocks and contrasting with them gets housing estates. Accommodation in hotel, breakfast and rest after the journey. After Breakfast rest and free time, Lunch, History Museum gives you a real insight into Mongolian origin and history, Natural History Museum offers nice chance to see petrified dinosaur skeletons and nestled eggs, Mongolian Intellectual Toy Museum, Visit main Square Sukhbaatar, Friendship Monument on Zaisan hill, National Folk Performance Concert with songs and contortion acts, Dinner. Day 2. Gobi desert/ Yoliin Am

Take a flight to the Gobi Desert and check-in tourist camp. Visit Eagle valley well known as Yoliin Am that located in Gobi Gurvan Saikhan national park. It is the end of the Altai mountain ranges and chance to see wild animals such as wild sheep, ibex, golden eagle and of course vultures. Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 3. Khongor dune

Drive to Khongor dune well known as Singing Dune. Khongor dune is one of the biggest dunes of Mongolia. It has an extraordinary length of approximately 100kms and 12 kilometers wide. There is an oasis near a river Khongor at the northern edge of the dunes. Hiking and camel riding along the dune. Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 4. Bayanzag - Flaming cliffs

Drive to Bayanzag, known as Flaming cliffs. Bayanzag is an important site for both archeologically and paleontological findings. Complete dinosaur skeletons and eggs are excavated from red cliffs, which look like fire. American explorer Roy Chapman Andrew had discovered this area in the early 20 century and getting famous all over the world. If you see carefully, you could find a piece of bone or dinosaur egg. In the afternoon, short hiking Gobi tree-saxaul forest. Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 5. Ongi temple ruin

Drive up to Ongi temple ruin. It was one of the Mongolian largest monasteries in the Gobi region. 2 temple ruins were built up in the 1780s. During repression in the 1930s’ these two temples destroyed and many lamas,) were executed and imprisoned. If you get up early, you will have a chance to see some wild animals such as wild sheep, wolf, etc, Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 6. Kharkhorum Erdenezuu Monastery

Drive to Kharkhorum. Late afternoon you will arrive in the city. And have a short visit to Monument dedicated to the Greatest Dynasties of Mongolia. Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 7. Cultural day in Kharkhorum

Stay in Kharkhorum and visit Erdenezuu the oldest Monastery and archeological site of Kharkhorum an ancient capital city of Mongolia. In the afternoon visit the local nomadic family to learn their lifestyle. Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 8. Khustai national park

Drive to the Khustai national park which is established in 1993 to facilitate the reintroduction project of the Takhi, central Asian wild horse. Visit a core zone of the park to see wild horses and other animals in the national park such as marmot, deer, red deer and more. Overnight at Ger. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 9. Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast drive to the Ulaanbaatar. Visit Gandan Monastery, which holds the largest-scale Buddhist activity in the country. Shopping opportunities to cashmere and souvenir shops. In the evening, enjoy Mongolian folk Music and Dance Performance. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: B/L/D Trans: 4WD Van

Day 10. Departure

Check out the hotel. Transfer to the airport for international departure. Meals: B Trans: 4WD Van
