Overlapping with Khangai range in the south smaller range of Sayan dominates north-central Mongolia, occupying the most mountainous part of Huvsgul aimag (province) territory. The main feature of this region is an abundance of clear water lakes and rivers with the most outstanding being the Huvsgul Lake. Known as the “dark blue pearl” of Mongolia, lake Huvsgul is one of the country’s largest lakes and it features one of the most spectacular areas of the country and makes up over 1% of the world’s freshwater.
Along the Northern circle, you can explore the Forest-Khangai Mountains of Central Mongolia and spend your time on the bank of deep blue Huvsgul Lake surrounded by green forested mountains, visit ancient capital city Kharkhorum, Erdenezuu and Amarbayasgalant monasteries, and Khustai national park to see reintroduced wild horse TAKHI.

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar City

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, city tour visiting Gandan Monastery is the largest Buddhist center in the county, Sukhbaatar Square and Chinggis Khaan’s Monument, National Museum of Mongolian History and enjoy Mongolian Folk Art performance. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. Amarbayasgalant Monastery

Drive to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, It is the most beautiful and well preserved old monastery in northern Mongolia. The thing makes this monastery amazing is its architecture of the main temple, constructed without a single iron nail and all based on wooden block puzzles. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 3. Uran Togoo Mountain

In the morning stay at a temple and drive to Uran Togoo Mount town via Erdenet city was built under one soviet inspired master plan in the ’1970 for host the copper miners. Erdenet’s copper mine plays an important role in the Mongolian economy and it consists of around 30 percent of annual GDP. Togoo Mountain is the oldest dead volcano. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 4. Khuvsgul Lake

Drive to Khuvsgul Lake. Lake Khuvsgul, as dubbed as Mongolia Switzerland and a lake surrounded with lush green forest mountains. In addition, it is 1% of the freshwater resource in the world. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 5. Reindeer Herder

Visit Tsaatan well known as reindeer people where located app 50kms from our campsite and it takes two and a half hours of driving. (Depends on year around) There will be two families one is Tsaatan, the reindeer herder and Shaman. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 6. Khuvsgul Lake

Free day for relaxation. Free day for relaxation. You can have short horseback riding, hiking along the lakeshore. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 7. Shine Ider

Drive back to Murun town and visit the local black market. On the way, you will visit the Bronze Age deer stone monument site and arrive at the GER camp, which located on the way of Khorgo National Park. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 8. Khorgo National Park

Drive to Khorgo Terkhiin Tsagaan nuur National Park Surrounded by extinct volcanoes, Terhiin Tsagaan is one of the most beautiful lakes in Mongolia. Being elevation at an altitude of 2,060 meters, the lake occupies an area of over 300 square kilometers. This astonishingly beautiful crystal clear water lake is renowned for its fish and birdlife. The dead volcano of Horgo stands on the Terhiin Tsagaan Nuur Lake. There is a huge volcanic crater, about 200 meters wide and 100 meters deep. A large solidified lava formation on the southern slope of Horgo is trickily called “Basalt Ger”. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 9. Khorgo National Park

A full day for hiking nearby White Lake or known as Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur and volcanic mountains over 2000m above sea level. On the way visit Cave of the Yellow Dog, Ice cave and Zaluuchuud caves hike back to Ger camp and overnight

Day 10. Tsenkher Hot Spa

in the morning stay at Lakeside and drive down to Chuluut river great canyon which huge creation of volcanic earthquake and late afternoon arrive at Tsenkher hot Spa relax and have a spa bath. Overnight ger camp.

Day 11. Kharkhorum

Drive to Kharkhorum. Visit Erdenezuu the first Buddhist Monastery in Mongolia. 400x400m walls with 108 stupas surround the monastery complex. Early 20th century there were more than 100 temples and over 1000 lamas used to serve. The monastery was sacked during the purges of 1937. Nowadays, only one temple holds a religious activity and rest works as a museum. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 12. Khustai National Park

Drive to Khustai National park. Khustai National park was protected in 1993 to conserve biodiversity and facilitate the re-introduction to the wild horse or known as Przewalski horse (Takhi). See the wild horses. Besides TAKHI you can see many wild animals including wild sheep Argali, wolf, red deer. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 13. Ulaanbaatar

Drive to Ulaanbaatar city. Transfer to hotel free for leisure; Visit Natural History Museum and shopping in cashmere and souvenir shops and dinner. Overnight at hotel

Day 14. Departure

Check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport or train station. Tour ends.
