This tour is of high value. With relatively little cost one can experience the beauties and mysteries of the Mongolian Gobi desert and experiment a train journey through the southern part of Mongolia. Excursion to one of the largest dunes in Mongolia, 18th-century Buddhist Monastery of Khamariin Hiid built by famous Mongolian religious aristocrat, poet Danzanravjaa well know as lama of the Gobi and dinosaur bones revealed by the wind in sandy surface and remains of petrified trees aged 65 million years are some of the features of this tour.

Day 1. Depart to Sain Shand
Transfer to Ulaanbaatar train station to catch the Ulaanbaatar – Sainshand domestic train. The train departs at 21.08 and arrives in Sainshand town at 06.50 am next day.
Day 2: Round trip in Khamariin Khiid Monastery
Local drivel will meet you at the station at 06.50am & transfer to ger camp 40km from Train station. After breakfast, we start the East Gobi round tour. The round tour starts from a visit to a dinosaur skeleton site, where you will encounter an amazing scene of dinosaur bone aged about 70 million years revealed on the ground. In the same area, you will also see palaces of petrified wood. From the dinosaur site, we arrive in the famous cave site named 108 caves, which has a lot of historical relevance with Khamariin Hiid Monastery and its founder 18th-century charismatic religious leader Danzanrabjaa. Then we visit Khamariin Hiid monastery. Before dinner, we visit a local camel breeder’s family. Arrive back to Shand tourist camp and stay in ger overnight.
Day3. White Sands and take the train back to Ulaanbaatar
After having breakfast in the camp we will have an expedition to one of the largest and most famous sand dunes in Gobi desert – White sands and Burden Bulag oasis. Enjoy the awesome scenes of the beautiful white sands and walk and trek along their loose slopes. Drive back to the tourist camp. Late afternoon Drive back to Sainshand and a short city tour including visits to the provincial museum and Danzanrabjaa museum. After dinner transfer to train station for 21.15 train takes the whole night to reach back to UB.
Day4. Ulaanbaatar
In the morning arrive in Ulaanbaatar at 07.30am. tour ends.
